An endeavour by an individual to come forth with a team that lives, breathes and creates music with passion. Innovative and different yet in tune with the needs of the project in hand helps them to deliver quality music every time they set their foot forth in it. The man behind this is Santosh Nair.
An entrant to the main stream music arena in his late teens has seen him garnering experience, versatility and repertoire in different genres and fields of music as vast as films to ad jingles to music albums, background and title scores , to TV promotions .
Work History Music Albums:-
Santosh got his first major break with Anaida’s album Nazuk Nazuk, composing her all-time hit Oova Oova and India’s first animated video song Hoo Halla Hoo for BMG Crescendo. He went on to recreate Disney’s Hakuna Matata in Hindi, sung by Anaida and Baba Sehgal, followed by several successful albums for BMG Crescendo including Ekta, Sambhalke Sambhalke, O Malu Malu, and others.
He composed hit tracks like Hai Dhuan Hai Dhuan from Vikas Bhalla’s album Awaara and the successful title track of Woh Pal. Santosh also composed the title song for Chand Grahan, sung by Asha Bhosle, with lyrics by Kaifi Azmi. His notable works include Anaida’s albums Chori Chori and Greatest Hits (featuring Piya Bina Jeena), remix albums like The Lion Mix and Mungda (with Usha Mangeshkar), and unique projects such as Aisa Bhi Kabhi Hota Hai.
He has also composed for Rajshri Music, Saregama-HMV, Lata Mangeshkar’s Musicurry label, and designed the track Khali Bali for Shibani Kashyap’s album My Free Spirit.
Ads & Jingles
He began his career composing ad jingles for Vicks (P&G), creating nearly 40 jingles, and went on to score music for jingles and corporate films for leading brands such as Sahara India, Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, Mahindra, Escorts, Rajnigandha, ICICI Bank, TCS, BSNL, Tata Consultancy Services, and others. His work also includes major commercials for brands like Binani Cement (featuring Amitabh Bachchan), Birla White, Max New York (USA), and Bharti AXA Life Insurance.
He has composed extensively for television, including title tracks for shows like Soulmate (B4U) and India’s first daily mythological mega-serial Darshan Do Bhagwan. His title track for Classic Legends (Zee Classic), hosted by Javed Akhtar, won the Promax Award 2013. He has also created logo music and promo tracks for major networks and brands such as STAR, Zee, Sony, Colors, Reliance BIG TV, Strepsils, Tata Tea Gold, UberEats, Amazon, Asian Paints, Maybelline, Honor, and Idea, along with award shows and telecom brands.
